Hello, my name is Arexan, and I graduated from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences with a degree in Frontend Design & development. I interned for nearly a year as a Front-end developer at Schiphol, where I gained significant experience by working on projects aimed at enhancing the travel experience for passengers.

I'm all about front-end development & design, where I bring digital designs to life, making them both visually appealing and user-friendly. I love creating websites and applications that not only look good but also work seamlessly for everyone who uses them.

Schiphol Amsterdam Airport [security Waiting time screens]

Security Waiting Time Screens

During my internship at Schiphol, I worked on the security waiting time screens in the Terminal at the airport. I led this project, collaborating with my team to set up screens that display waiting times for security control and passport control. While there's no dedicated website, you can see these screens throughout Schiphol Airport.

This was a group project that I worked on with other students at school. We created a dynamic website for INK's football club in Rio de Janeiro. The goal was to attract sponsors and share the club's inspiring story, aimed at protecting young people from negative street influences. I contributed by developing the About page and the carousel.

Oba [openbare bibliotheek Amsterdam][Public library]

Oba

For this project, I collaborated with two other students to develop a website for OBA, the public library of Amsterdam. Our team effort resulted in a platform where users can reserve books and add them to their list, or book a study place at any OBA location. Additionally, we incorporated a built-in chatroom feature that allows users to chat with their friends, enhancing the overall user experience.

Schiphol Airport [Security Timeslots]

Security Timeslots

During my internship at Schiphol, I worked with my team on developing the security timeslot feature. We implemented this feature on the Schiphol website, allowing passengers to book a timeslot when traveling from our airport. You can explore this functionality on the Schiphol website under Departures. Simply select a date from tomorrow onwards, and you'll find the 'Book Timeslot' button.

During my internship at Schiphol, I collaborated with my team on developing a new overview page for the Schiphol website. My responsibilities included working on various sections such as filter search titles and the App hero (located at the bottom of the page). Weather Forecast feature in arrival itinerary to the Netherlands

During my internship at Schiphol Airport, I initiated and developed a Weather Forecast feature for the arrival itineraries to the Netherlands. This feature provides passengers with real-time weather updates for their destination upon arrival, enhancing their travel experience by allowing them to prepare accordingly. I've also incorporated animated and moving weather icons to create a dynamic and engaging user experience. Although this feature is currently not in production as it was a trial initiative, it received positive feedback from the team at Schiphol. They recognized its potential to enhance passenger experience and have expressed interest in deploying it in the future.
